Regarding the difference between SIMC & SCMC –
While SIMC offers post graduate degree programmes (MA, MBA), SCMC offers an under graduate degree programme (BA) in Mass Communication / Communication Management.

Regarding the second round of admission –
The Second Round of admission comprises a Personal Interaction (PI), a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and a Studio Test (ST).
The Personal Interaction is a conversation cum counselling session which is designed to gauge your capabilities, educational background, hobbies & interests, future aspirations, etc. This does not require preparation.
It may help you to peruse our website and social media sites (like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Blog), though.
The Writing Ability Test is a subjective essay-type test which evaluates your written communication skills. This does not require preparation.
For example, you may be asked to write an essay on the following subject : Students often have to choose between living in a hostel and an apartment - while pursuing their graduation. Which one would you prefer and why?
The Studio Test comprises simple tasks. This does not require preparation.
For example, you may be given a set of pictures and asked to arrange the same in such a manner that it tells a story.
